Tarland Show

Tarland Show takes place on the 2nd Saturday of August every year.  2021 Show cancelled

The day kicks off with the Cattle, Horse, Sheep & Goat exhibitors battling it out to be judged the Champion of Champions.

A popular attraction to the show each year is the truck show, with vintage & modern tractors all competing to win a rosette.

Back by popular demand is the Mountain Bike Race starting at 11:30am, limited spaces so make sure to register early. There will also be a Hill Race which begins at 3pm, register on the day outside the Douneside offices from 1:30pm.

The afternoon entertainment offers something for all ages to enjoy from pipe bands, the prize winners parades, childrens races, fancy dress parades & the young farmers stock judging and tug of war competition where a mix of ages and abilities compete to show the young farmers up!

The highland dancing competition draws in a fantastic crowd watching dancers of all ages competing to be placed.

The night is ended with the popular marquee dance held in the show park where you’re guaranteed a sore head on the Sunday!!
