Community Future Group

CFG_logo_100We are a group of interested locals who aim to bring science and technology activities to this area to make “science and technology accessible” to all ages. This is mainly talks and workshops but we also get involved in running local science Festivals.

For children we focus on practical hands-on science.

We partner with the University of Aberdeen’s outreach centre and the Aberdeen Science Centre (Satrosphere) to bring talks and activities here.

We also partner with Tarland Primary School to deliver their after school Science Club.

We do not duplicate the activities done so extremely well by the local Ranger service, instead we feature their activities on our web-site and work in co-operation with them.

To do this we :

  • Run a programme of “Café Scientifique” winter Talks
  • Run Activities for children in the school holidays (not normally Christmas)
  • Run or participate in local Science Festivals
  • Run the after school Science Club for Tarland Primary School

We are always interested in people who can offer time to run STEM sessions and activities.
