The Deeside Community Bus is a bus service managed and manned by volunteers from Tarland, which provides a weekly service from Tarland via Aboyne and along the Deeside Road through Finzean and Strachan to Banchory.

The bus runs every Wednesday, departing Tarland Square at 09.20 hrs and arriving at Somerfields Supermarket in Banchory at 10.10 hrs. It departs Somerfields at 10.50 hrs and leaves Banchory Dee Street carpark at 11.45 hrs for the return journey to Tarland, arriving at 12.30 hrs.

A single fare from Tarland to Banchory is £ 0.82.
However, concession cards are accepted.

The service is always looking for volunteers to help to drive the bus, act as escort and to manage the duty roster.
