Core Group Meetings are held monthly, new members are always welcome to participate in a range of activities some of which have been recorded in our Newsletters and publications. These are sold locally and are much in demand. Informal excursions are organised to local sites of interest. Many of our members were involved in the excavation and conservation of Tomnaverie carried out by Reading University in conjunction with Historic Scotland and The MacRobert Trust. As part of the CSA Scottish Archaeology Month, we have regularly lead excursions to local areas of historical and prehistorical importance. This has attracted people from far and wide. From October to April in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen a series of lectures on broadly historical topics is well attended, open to all and very popular.
